Sotenbori is a fictional entertainment district of Osaka, based on the real life district of Dotonbori. While not as prolific as Kamurocho, it has appeared in several games aside, and has also appeared in spin off titles such as Kurohyou 2.

Yakuza Kiwami 2

• Elements of the now removed Shinseicho map have now been placed in the Sotenbori map, notably, Yotsuba Acupuncture and Keima.

Yakuza 5

• Mostly reused from Yakuza Kiwami 2.

Like a Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name

• Now better reflects the parts of the map present in the Old Engine
• New hub location known as 'the Castle', separate from the giant golden castle in K2

Spinoff Games

Kurohyou 2: Ryu Ga Gotoku Ashura-hen

• This version predates the Sotenbori in Yakuza 5 by a few months, but is overall very similar to the 3D version that would come later on.
• A clothing store can be found on Sotenbori St, where Tatsuya can change his outfits. Amusingly, this same store has recently closed in Yakuza 5.
